History CUROC

The CUROC is situated in the north-west of Honduras at an altitude of 1.150 meters, in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Copán Department, specifically on the outskirts of the City of Santa Rosa de Copán (1 km from Central Park) is one of the most important cities in western Honduras with a population of approximately 42,000 people.
The Center opened on October 23, 1996, and was created as part of modernization and restructuring of the UNAH to meet the needs of higher education in western Honduras. Its creation was the result of the initiative of some residents, organizations and local authorities UNAH. Santa Rosa de Copán

Santa Rosa de Copán was founded in the eighteenth century first calling Los Llanos.
